This is the week Zentura figured out what it actually is.
Up to now it was a block sandbox with a stone axe and a pickaxe. That's a game plenty of other people have already made. What I really wanted was the part after that: survivors, machines, power, a settlement that grows into a factory.
So I wrote the settlement simulation underneath everything: workers, logistics, gears and shafts, fluids, electricity and research. Then I hooked it into the world so machines you place actually spawn their parts and connect up. Luna, who runs the settlement with you, got a dashboard, and there's a research tree.
And then I removed the pickaxes, the axe and the weapons. You don't swing tools at things in Zentura. You build machines and direct people.
Other changes:
- Left click places with a hologram preview, right click breaks
- New inventory, survivor and chest menus with drag and drop
- A switch between first person and an isometric camera
- A Play Demo button that drops you in a world with a settlement ready to go
