Building Zentura
What got added, what changed and why, from the first day of the project.
- Keep them alive until help comes Waking up in a camp, survivors who act like people, a phone in the robot's hand, a river through the island, quarries you can dig anywhere, drill rigs, and clouds.
- Blocks all the way down Every machine rebuilt from tiny blocks, survivors who work in shifts, and a bot that plays the game for me.
- Gears that actually mesh Shafts and gears rebuilt from scratch, Create-style.
- A big day for survivors Difficulty, weather, day and night, sound, carts and the end of Chapter 1.
- Running on a cheap laptop 200+ fps on Low on a budget laptop.
- An island, finally Chapter 1 gets its own island, mountains and a new look.
- The machines get real models From grey boxes to actual machines.
- A proper crash landing New worlds now open with a crash, a few survivors and not much else.
- Putting the pickaxe down The game stops being a block sandbox and becomes a settlement game.
- Seeing the horizon Distant terrain, an endless world and forests that look like forests.
- Day one: somewhere to stand Zentura started as an empty project and a world generator.
